When children fold tables and chairs to make bedding

The BBC’s children’s programme ‘The Fold’ was the subject of a petition calling for its producers to cancel the show.

It said children in the UK had become so used to folding up and placing things that they had lost the ability to fold up other things.

The petition said it was “disappointing” to see the programme’s producers use the idea of children folding up their chairs, toddlers and other things to make beds.

“This has become the norm, we are all used to this, but when it comes to bedding, the majority of parents do not understand the difference,” the petition said.

In a statement to BBC News, the show’s producers said they were “deeply saddened by the petition” and “we are reviewing the petition to see if the petition is supported by the production team”.

The petition has received more than 5,000 signatures and is currently circulating on Twitter.
